Natural Newborn photography in Cheshire
Do you love the natural newborn photographs? the ones where the focus is simply the baby? Me too…let me tell you why I started shooting more of these…
Natural & more minimal newborn photographs are something I am getting asked more and more for. I started adding some more relaxed poses into my galleries over the last two years, and without realising it really started to love and appreciate how beautiful some of these images were becoming. In reality the more relaxed shots are often harder to achieve even more so than the ones I am trained to do. As babies arnt being manipulated into a position they are being eased into a position that looks completely relaxed and ‘real’ and is guided 90% by the baby. Which in turn makes each image completely unique to that baby. All newborns love to lie a certain way, some love their hands near their face others above their heads and this is what natural baby posing is, capturing a unique pose to your baby and capturing a tiny slice of their personality at such a young age.
With a natural love of all things minimal, my goal is always for the focus to be on the subject. Which in this case is your baby, without clutter of props and accessories your eyes are naturally drawn to the subject and this is a real goal for me. I believe our children are so special and unique and the idea of having an image that is purely them in their most natural glory is just amazing and something I hope I can share and create for all of my clients.
Don’t get me wrong I love props & accessories just as much as the next newborn photographer. Any new parent that has been to the studio will tell you I fall hard for beautiful pastel tones and I take an incredible delight in setting up each newborn set up to ensure it is unique entirely for their preferences. But there’s something about a minimal shot that pleases my creative soul most, and I will always try and shoot one during each newborn session.
